Gemma McCabe Kelly, B.Sc, Grad Dip Psych. M.I.A.C.P , Practice Owner & Psychotherapist.
Thank you so much for reading. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I qualified in 2007 with a Graduate Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. I obtained this qualification from Turning Point College & D.C.U. This course was excellent in teaching us a wide range of therapeutic approaches and psychological theories. We also underwent constant individual therapy and group therapy over the course. I am accredited with the I.A.C.P.
In 2007 I set up a Private Practice at home and later went on to open The Phoenix Centre here in Gorey in 2013. I am so passionate about Psychotherapy as I see time and time again how it can transform our lives. I love my job and truly want to share all that psychotherapy can offer people. Life can be so tough and so hard on us all. Every one of us can face difficulties, traumas, crisis of meaning, depression, bereavement and much much more. I truly want people to feel they are not on their own in their difficulties, and that I will do all that I can to help. I deeply care about the people who come to see me, and work hard to bring about change with them. I understand how incredibly difficult it can be to begin Psychotherapy and that is why I will do all I can to make you feel comfortable and safe while you are here.
My therapeutic orientation is grounded in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. My framework is Gestalt based. I also work with Psychosynthesis, C.B.T and more. Mindfulness is also a crucial tool I use. I also work with Toys, Sand and Art where appropriate.
I also have a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. This is a degree in Mathematical Physics and Maths.
Please see my Genuine Client Testimonials to see if I may be the Therapist for you.
